Jim DeGood
Founder + Principal
Jim DeGood is a seasoned marketing and communications strategist who knows how to hit all the right notes with audiences. With more than 28 years of nonprofit arts and culture experience, he has finessed the art of engaging patrons and promoting premieres alike.
Jim was a member of the consulting team and led the international team of consultants for TRG Arts for more than 10 years. He led the adaptation of the firm’s core consulting tenants for the COVID-19 pandemic era and created TRG’s first email and digital counsel. A primary thought leader while at the firm, Jim authored blog posts about generational change affecting arts participation; his research was cited by The New York Times and other national publications.
Jim brings both creativity and analytical rigor to his work. He can co-create innovative campaigns and digital initiatives while also crunching numbers to evaluate program performance. Described by colleagues as a “data-driven dreamer,” Jim balances strategy with imagination.
Jim is based in the Kansas City area, where he continues lending his talents to arts organizations in need of a strategic revenue or audience boost.
